India stated their tour of South Africa will start from tomorrow. The tour will consist of 3 3-match T20I series. The fixture of the tournament is,
- December 10 – Durban
- December 10 – Gqebehra
- December 10 – Johannesburg
In this format, the blue team has faced the green team 24 times. Out of them, India won 13 whereas South Africa won 10 matches. You can easily say the blue team has always shown a stronger stance against South Africa.
India’s team will be led by right-handed batsman Suryakumar Yadav. He led the team for the first time in the 5-match T20I series & will continue to do so against the proteas. The tour of team India will also consist of 3 ODI matches followed by a couple of test matches. Both of the team is looking good & in a mint condition to face each other. This series’ primary objective is to evaluate Suryakumar Yadav’s captaincy. India always gives chances to the rising stars & this will be one of the best chances for Suryakumar Yadav to prove himself worthy of being the captain.
This tour will be a tough one for the proteas as their game-changer bowlers are out of the matches. After the final team announcement, we can see that Kagisi Rabada is out of the series & given Rest. Anrich Nortje had a stress fracture in the back. Due to this reason, he is also out of the tournament. Lungi Ngidi is facing some serious issues of an unfortunate ankle sprain. But unfortunately, we won’t be able to see his magic in this tournament as the proteas announced his retirement this year. But still, you will be able to see him showing off his skills as he continuously plays in different franchise leagues around the world. The rumour is still in the air that Pretorious will be working as an advisor for the protea team & work on the improvement of the T20I format of the South African cricket team.
In the next year IPL you won’t be able to see him playing as one of the players of CSK as they released him from IPL 2024.
- Wayne Parnell picked up 9 wickets in 11 encounters against Team India. He is the South African team’s fifth-best bowler in terms of excellence.
